Manchester City are gearing up for their third successive FA Cup final on Saturday when they take on Crystal Palace at Wembley Stadium.

City are looking to end a difficult season with some silverware after they relinquished their grip on the Premier League title.

And while qualifying for next season’s Champions League remains a major priority with two Premier League games remaining, all of their focus has switched towards this weekend’s cup final.

We will have every inch of the build-up covered, as well as extensive coverage on the day from Wembley as City look to win the competition for the third time under Pep Guardiola.

Meanwhile, off the field, the transfer rumour mill is already beginning ahead of the summer transfer window and it was confirmed last week that Portuguese international goalkeeper Diogo Costa is on the club’s radar.

Attacking midfielders Florian Wirtz and Morgan Gibbs-White are also known to be on City’s radar, while midfielder Tijani Reijnders and Newcastle full-back Tino Livramento have also been linked with City in recent days.

City are also awaiting a verdict on the 115 charges for alleged financial breaches – which they have always denied – with the club set to discover whether they have successfully defended themselves against the Premier League’s allegations.

City were charged back in February 2023, and a 10-week trial at the back end of 2024 gave the club a chance to present their case in front of an independent panel.

The Premier League have alleged serious financial wrongdoing over multiple years. The club have always maintained their innocence.

There will, of course, be plenty of attention over the verdict – including much hyperbole and hysteria. So you can cut through the noise and discover the facts on the Manchester Evening News before the verdict drops, as soon as it happens, and then we will take you through the next steps with expert, impartial analysis.
