The time of year has come again when I re-evaluate my goals for the 12 months ahead, and, as usual, fitness will always make the top five on the list.

I used to think that the gym was a relatively simple expense – just paying about £20-£30 a month. But over time, I’ve come to realise that’s only the beginner’s level.

Once I became a more familiar face in the gym, I quickly learned that it takes more to make it truly worthwhile.

I’m talking about gym outfits (because “look good, feel good” is definitely a thing), pre-workouts, protein shakes, and, of course, the constant food shopping.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that there’s one essential I can’t do a gym session without, especially on heavy leg day workouts: a pre-workout.

For me, a pre-workout gives that extra boost of energy and motivation to power through each rep.

I’ve tried so many pre-workouts in the past, and one thing I can guarantee is that they all bring on that itchy, tingly sensation. It feels like a shockwave through your body, getting you hyped and ready for your workout.

Taste is another factor I consider important.

Most pre-workouts tend to have that overly sweet, powdery taste, which you learn to suck up because you’ve got goals to hit. But I’ve always believed the gym should be about comfort and what works best for you.

Recently, I had the privilege of trying out Pre-Shot, a new pre-workout that really impressed me.

One of the first things I noticed was the taste – it’s refreshing and naturally sweet, with none of that overwhelming sugariness or artificial aftertaste that most pre-workouts come with.

It’s genuinely pleasant, which makes it so much easier to enjoy. No more forcing yourself to drink something just because it’s part of the routine!

But what truly sets Pre-Shot apart from other pre-workouts is how it performs. From the first dose, I could feel the difference.

It’s like the perfect balance of energy without the jitters or crash. On those heavy leg days, when you’re pushing through set after set, Pre-Shot gives you that steady, focused energy to power through without the sensation of being overly wired.

I felt more present during my workout, able to really focus on form and push myself just a little bit further than usual.

That steady, consistent energy lasted through the entire session, and there was no unpleasant post-workout crash, which is a huge bonus.

Overall, I’d say that Pre-Shot ticks all the boxes for me: great taste, solid performance, and no uncomfortable side effects like that itchy feeling you often get with other pre-workouts.

If you’re looking for a product that helps you perform better while also tasting good, Pre-Shot is definitely worth a try.

It’s now become an essential part of my gym routine, and I’m excited to see how it continues to help me hit my fitness goals in the year ahead.
