Trump must be sentenced for hush money conviction on Jan. 10 but won't face jail time, judge says

The New York judge in US President-elect Donald Trump’s hush money case denied a motion to dismiss the case filed after his presidential election victory, ruling that he must be sentenced on January 10, days before his inauguration. Justice Juan Merchan said that he is not inclined to impose a jail sentence.
