Any peace negotiations to end the war in Ukraine must involve Kyiv, said NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on Thursday, as European defence ministers meeting in Brussels responded to US President Donald Trump’s announcement that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin had agreed to start peace talks “immediately”.
