The latest episode of Ant and Dec’s Limitless Win has caused quite the kerfuffle as fans have accused the show of getting an answer wrong.

Returning couple Richard and Lorna started strong at £30,000 with 32 lives, however, this number quickly dwindled as they climbed up the ladder.

Minutes into the episode, fans were screaming on their behalf over a question on the standard length of the cable of Henry vacuums (of all things).

Using some skills of deduction, Lorna and Richard debated between eight and 10 before the pair settled on eight metres — only for the answer to be 10.

Had they been exactly right, the couple would have banked an impressive £250,000 but instead lost two lives for guessing below the correct number.

However, here’s where things get a little complicated as both 10 and 8.4 metres are technically correct, with fans demanding ITV ‘pays up’.

'Ant and Dec's Limitless Win' TV Show, Series 4, Episode 3, UK - 11 Jan 2025 Ant and Dec's Limitless Win, is a British ITV game show in which Ant and Dec host as contestants answer questions in a bid to win as much money as they can, with no limit to the amount of money they can have in the pot. For each correct or near answer they'll progress in the competition, but if they get the answer over by just one, they could crash out of the competition and potentially lose thousands of already banked cash.

‘I’ve seen the eyes, and the hat, and the nose, but I’ve never seen how long the cable is,’ joked Ant as the couple locked in their answer.

Genuine replacement power cables for Henrys can be purchased at both lengths, meaning the couple were right (and wrong) to say eight.

‘Interesting. Google has the henry cable at 8.4m. Interesting for £250k,’ wrote James on X.

‘Henry hoover cable, 8.4mtrs, they guessed 8, then programme came up with 10 mtrs…. gone right off this quiz show,’ added padge.

Ellie said: ‘When Google says 8.4m yet @antanddec Limitless Win says 10m 🤔🤔.’

Less coyly, Harry Arrnot shared: ‘Pay up @ITV #limitlesswin Clearly they were right!’

The couple walked out with the already banked £30,000 instead of that life-changing quarter of a million.

Hopefully, that will be enough for Richard and Lorna to take ‘friends and family to a big villa somewhere in Europe’.

The show works by allowing contestants to limitlessly climb the cash ladder until they run out of lives or decide to cash out.

Ant and Dec ask hopefuls random knowledge questions, all with numerical answers, and if they get it exactly right they can lock in that cash amount.

The cash prize can be eye-watering with an NHS couple winning a whopping half a million pounds in the show’s first series, of which they promptly donated 10% – £50,000 – to charity.
