Windsor police hunt for home invasion suspects who attacked seniors

Windsor police are on the hunt for five suspects after a home invasion on the city’s east side on Monday night left two seniors injured.
The incident occurred just after 11 p.m. on Jan. 13 in the 2500 block of Luxury Avenue.
Four of the suspects forced their way into the residence as one stood outside.
Police said they assaulted, bound and threatened an 87-year-old man and a 75-year-old woman.

The suspects then stole personal items, money and a sport utility vehicle that was later recovered in the area of Firgrove Drive and Monticello Street.
The two individuals who were assaulted sustained what police called “non-life-threatening” physical injuries.
Police are looking for five suspects.
The first is described as an approximately 20- to 30-year-old female, wearing a black jacket.
The second suspect is male, between 20 and 30 years old and wearing a black jacket and red pants.
The third suspect is described as a male, 20 to 30 years old, six feet, one inch tall, wearing a tan sweatshirt with black sweatpants.
The fourth and fifth suspects are described as males, approximately 20 to 30 years old, wearing white hoodies and black pants.
All the suspects wore face coverings.

Investigators are asking anyone who lives in the area to check dash-cam or surveillance footage, specifically between the hours of 10:30 and 11:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, for evidence related to the case.
